Trip to Akaroa Harbour

Today we took Grandma and Granddad Harris to Akaroa for the day. We went to Wainui first (across the harbour from Akaroa) for lunch. It was a sunny day but there was cool wind blowing.

Rachel and Daddy tapping out a rhythm on the table while waiting for lunch. From Wainui you look towards the harbour entrance.

Having lunch.

Andrew and Rachel enjoying sitting on the deck chair.

After lunch we went around to Akaroa. We found coffee for Mummy and Daddy then we went for a wander around the harbour. Andrew was really keen to go to the beach, have a swim and build a sandcastle. So we headed for the beach.

Andrew and Rachel had lots of fun playing in the water. Andrew wanted to go deeper but Mummy wasn't wearing her togs so he had to stay where Mummy could just paddle.

After his swim Andrew spent lots of time build in the sand and bringing water up from the sea. He struggled with his full bucket, so he then convinced Mummy to carry the water.

Hi Joe

Joe, What are you up to? I am taking my toys for a walk around the house while I talk to you. Miss you. When are you home so we can get up to mischief?
